1. What
is pet sitting?
Pet sitting is a terrific
service for you and your pet(s). Our pet sitter comes to your home to visit
your pet(s) one to four visits per day while you are away, working or vacationing.
She spends approximately 30-45 minutes—giving love and attention, feeding,
replenishing water, and exercising your pet(s).

2. How
does pet sitting benefit our pet(s)?
Your pet(s) receive(s) individualized
care based on their specific needs, including medications. Our sitter learns
the family’s routine and follows your instructions to give your pet(s)
the best in care. Some pets do not enjoy being boarded. Most pets are very
comfortable in their own home following their usual schedule.

3. What
are the advantages of pet sitting over other alternatives, such as boarding
or having a relative or neighbor look in on our pet(s)?
Your pets are already in
their own home, so you do not take time to transport them to a facility.
They follow their regular routine and diet, avoid exposure to illness,
do not need injections required for boarding, and have their familiar toys,
bedding and bowls at hand. A neighbor or relative may suddenly have to
cancel plans to care for your pet(s). We are professionals and we have
a contract with you to perform services exactly as planned.

4. Is
boarding a good choice for pet care while I am away?
Sometimes we recommend boarding
for certain pets. Under some circumstances, such as very young or very
elderly pets, or pets needing very close supervision, it is the best choice.
Some pets need to be boarded at a veterinarian for observation.

8. Is

9. What
happens if my pet gets sick while I'm away?
We always observe pets carefully
for signs of illness. In an acute emergency, we will transport your pet
to the veterinarian immediately. Otherwise, we will call you first. At
the interview, a form is completed giving us permission to have your pet
treated by your veterinarian. In case we cannot reach him/her there are local emergency clinics in Rockville and Gaithersburg that can
be reached 24 hours a day.

and two schedules are kept up to date.

How much notice is needed for pet sitting services?

What is the first step in reserving pet sitting services?
Call our office during daytime
hours to make an appointment for an interview. After checking to make sure
we are available for the dates needed, we will schedule an interview and
come to your home to complete the necessary paperwork and contract. We
meet you and your pets in their own environment and become familiar with
your home and routine of care. You are welcome to ask questions and the
interview is at no obligation.
